I’ve been thankful for a lot of things on here this month & I meant every one of them. However, I know that I’ve barely scratched the surface on the number of things I should be thankful for every single day. Today, on the last day, I’m going to be thankful for my Facebook peeps! I’m thankful that it’s been a way to reunite with people from high school, past co-workers, and people I don’t see nearly often enough! It’s been awesome checking my news feed throughout the day & seeing everybody posting what they’re thankful for. I have two very close friends who refuse to join fb b/c of the “drama”. I tell them they’re just not friends with the right people 🙂 I love you’ns all!!! Happy Month of Thankfulness…
Thankful today for my vision so that I can see God’s beauty, thankful for my hearing so I can listen to the Word, thankful for my voice so that I can tell others about Him, & I’m thankful for my health. So thankful. And lucky…
On the 25th day of Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for my dog Crockett. He’s been my faithful companion for almost 15 years…not sure how many more I’ll have with him but he still acts like a puppy sometimes. (That’s the border collie crackhead coming out in him) <3…
A conglomeration of a few years to get a decent length. And it’s coincidental that I was thinking about speeding tickets on two different years. This was before Facebook memories came along, so I wasn’t cheating. I’m thankful for my warm coats. That’s right, I’m fortunate enough to have a selection. It breaks my heart that there are people out there who have to stand in line to get one donated to them. Pitiful. I’m also thankful I’ve not had any speeding tickets this year. Monumental. 2013 7:13 pm Cookies in the oven, It’s a Wonderful Life on tv, I’m decorating the big tree, & Shug is…well, he’s observing all the merriment from the depths of the couch 🙂 it’s a good day. Thankful for all these blessings & so many more 2012 1:35pm Thankful I haven’t acquired a speeding ticket this year. Thankful I made it home safe yet again, & that Shug didn’t eat my cookies while I was gone 🙂 2011 8:58pm…
I’m thankful the rain has stopped. I’m thankful for McDonald’s hot french fries. I’m thankful I know how to spell. And I’m thankful for a closet full of clothes & shoes…ok, ok….more than one closet…
One week into the month of Thankfulness & today I am thankful for Monday off, & I am thankful for a house to clean. Although at this moment I’m sitting on the couch watching Friends. The next year: Today I am thankful that Obama can’t run for President again. I am thankful that most of my friends voted. I am thankful that for the most part, we all voted whichever way we wanted & didn’t get into heated arguements about our beliefs. The nation is divided down the center on most issues, it seems. I hope that we can live peaceably for the next few years & don’t become a victim of terrorism again, & I pray that we don’t have another Civil War. I am also thankful that all this rain isn’t snow. 11-7-12 10:36 am…
At the request of Meg: One of the Times I Almost Died. It was a beautiful March day. A few of us decided it would be a perfect day for a hike. It was Sunday, so we got a late start due to church. Seems like we even had a leisurely meal at Arby’s. Regardless, we decided on Ramsey Cascade’s Trail. It’s about four miles, one way. The first two easy to moderate, the last two are moderate to strenuous. No problem, we were young & in decent shape. We took off under crystal clear brilliant skies, a warning from a man I knew, that was fishing on the road there, distant in my ears: “it’s supposed to storm. Y’all be careful & watch the sky.” How could it storm on our perfect day? It was 75°. We were in thin pants & shorts. The guys wore Chaco sandals. We gently climbed, joking & teasing, laughing & taking our time. We stopped for Pringles & cokes that we had stashed in our backpacks. One of the guys was of the competitive nature, & was trying to show off, so he rushed on ahead, saying he’d see us at the top. Fine, whatever. We hiked on & stopped to admire the water about twenty minutes later. That’s when we noticed, through our oblivion, that things had changed. “Y’all, I think it’…
